| The Holy Father has proclaimed this as the Year of the Priest
and we as the laity are asked to help celebrate by praying for them.
Here at St. John Vianney we are going to take it one step further
and make it personal, by spiritually adopting a priest from our
Archdiocese. To spiritually adopt a priest is simple but powerful,
choose a name and bring that priest deeply into the heart of your
personal prayer life. If you are a young family with children help
them get involved by praying for Father at bedtime. You can be so
creative with this and make it fun.
To spiritually adopt a priest just put in your request at the e-mail provided and you will receive back a name of a priest and his address. Feel free to write a note of thank-you or let him know that your are praying for him. Request a Priest's Information There is a website (www.CatholicGreetings.org) with a selection of e-cards for the Year of the Priest that are available for free. Praying and saying thank-you is a gift of gratitude to God our
Father for so great of the gift of the Priesthood. Thank-you
