| To encourage
the spiritual growth of the children & youth of St. John Vianney
parish, in grades 2 through 7, by participation in the liturgy; and by
an active, on-going ministry to the church & local community through
music & song.
To promote musical & choral skills in a way that encourages commitment, confidence & spirituality in the hearts & lives of the singers. The Kids of the Kingdom children's choir will sing at the 11:15 mass about every 5 weeks from September through May; at special events for church & community; and provide community service by singing for nursing & children's homes 2 to 3 times per year. |

The Kids of the Kingdom Children's choir will begin accepting registrations for the upcoming year beginning August 14th. Children must be in grade 2 through 7 to be eligible. The registration form is available HERE, or in the parish office beginning August 8. For additional information about the choir, please call Ms. Vanessa at 410-586-2241 or 410-231-6753, or email her at director_kok@verizon.net. Choir membership is limited to 30, so please register early. Completed forms should be mailed or taken to the parish office, to the attention of Vanessa Hite:Choir Registration. Practices will begin Thursday, September 1st. |
| Rehearsals are on Thursdays, at 6:30pm -7:45 in the church - announcements & discussions begin at 7:45, with dismissal at 8:00pm. We start and end promptly, so please try to be on time. Make sure you have your music binder with you at each practice. We encourage all members to read through the music at home & try to memorize as much as possible. Anyone with assigned readings must practice these at home, and be ready to read at any time during a regular rehearsal. |
